Costs

The Bembridge One Designs provide affordable classic keelboat fleet sailing and costs are kept low by fleet purchasing.

Syndicate members are required to keep their boats in good repair and in a seaworthy condition. Syndicates pay for maintenance and upkeep provided by the two yards in Bembridge and St.Helens. The average 2022 annual cost is between £2,500 and £3,000 per boat, excluding incidental extras.
BODA make an annual charge of approximately £1,800 per boat to cover moorings, race fees, insurance, dredging, and harbour dues. The annual charge also includes a contribution to the sail replacement fund.
